NRF: Super Bowl spending to hit $12.3 billion

A record 179.1 million people are expected to watch the Super Bowl on Sunday and spend some $12.3 billion on everything from wings and beer to big-screen TVs, according to a survey from NRF’s Retail Advertising and Marketing Association. About 60 million viewers plan to go to a Super Bowl Party, 39.4 million will host a party, and 10.1 million will watch from a bar or restaurant, the survey says.
