Spectrum auction shouldn't be "done in a rush," NAB says

Broadcasters are urging federal officials to proceed cautiously with the incentive auction of broadcast spectrum to ensure the stations planning to continue operating are not harmed by the process. The Federal Communications Commission is pushing to hold the auction next year, but it has a window until 2022 to complete the proceeding. "This shouldn't be done in a rush," said NAB President and CEO Gordon Smith. "We're not trying to stall. It's more important to get it right than to get it done right now."
