Retail investors have become increasingly interested in derivatives, and the industry has responded by crafting mini options contracts. "Retail investors have always maintained an integral role in the U.S. options market, but in recent years, they've ramped up their trading activity," said Andy Nybo, head of derivatives research at TABB Group.
