Ask Jeeves posts first profit

Ask Jeeves has posted its first profit, reporting $22 million in the black for 2003, up from a $5.4 million loss in 2002. The Internet search engine's U.K. chief executive, Adrian Cox, also said that Google's upcoming initial public offering should stimulate the whole search engine industry.
