Tips to add more fiber to your diet

Most Americans do not consume enough fiber in their diet to take advantage of its benefits: relief from constipation and other bowel ailments, weight control, and a lower risk of heart disease and diabetes. Some tips to add more fiber to your diet include eating cereal with at least 3 to 5 grams of fiber in a serving and adding beans, seeds and nuts to salads.
