Popular technology can be adapted for the classroom

Blogs, social networks, wikis and online learning communities are largely untapped by educators, but can be shaped into powerful classroom tools, writes Jeffrey Yan, who teaches a Rhode Island School of Design course on incorporating technology into classwork.
