ACC: More funds needed in stimulus bill for clean energy

The American Chemistry Council praised the inclusion of $50 billion to invest in clean-energy and efficiency projects in the economic-stimulus bill that passed in the House on Wednesday, but said more is needed. "In a nutshell, we believe the $50 billion plus of clean energy investments is a good start, but we are urging the Congress to increase the government investment devoted to energy and physical infrastructure programs," an ACC spokeswoman said in summarizing ACC President Cal Dooley's comments to lawmakers.
