Committee meets to consider green standard for U.S. buildings

The U.S. might be moving closer to getting its first green building standard. A committee responsible for developing the standard met this week in Chicago. The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers, the standard's lead developer, announced at the meeting it will create an energy-labeling program for commercial buildings.
