Dave Barger, CEO of JetBlue Airways, met with President Barack Obama on Wednesday as part of a corporate round table on the economic crisis. After the meeting, Barger told Reuters that airlines are still "a long way" from stable profits, despite the free-fall in oil prices as a result of the recession. "We each had our own themes," Barger said of the industries represented at the meeting. Airlines, he said, are most interested in modernizing the air traffic control system, developing an energy strategy and regulating oil speculation.
