Saudi economy benefits from sound financial fundamentals

Despite Saudi Arabia's sound economy, robust domestic demand, high liquidity and remarkably well-capitalized financial institutions, shares on its stock market have lost nearly half of their value during the past year. The CEO of Deutsche Securities Saudi Arabia said this is because some investors mistakenly thought the country would feel serious effects from the global recession. That is not happening, he said.
