Textron posts Q4 loss of $209M; 2009 guidance lower than expectations

Textron posted a loss of $209 million for the fourth quarter, compared with a profit of $256 million for the same quarter last year. The manufacturer, which makes Cessna aircraft and E-Z-GO golf carts, also announced plans to lay off 2,000 employees. Textron also lowered its revenue guidance for 2009 to $12.5 billion, lower than analysts' estimates of $13.63 billion.
