App developers see mixed blessings in iPad

While application developers say it will not be a difficult task to adapt iPhone software to the new iPad tablet, they also expressed some frustration that inherent differences in the two devices will force them to find new approaches in programming for the iPad. For example, they note the iPad lacks a camera, which limits the use of video and photography apps. The iPad, however, might help the iPhone down the line, according to industry observers who say the tablet's speedy A4 chip could eventually find its way to the smartphone.
