Army Corps holds community meeting on Louisiana floodwall

The Army Corps of Engineers held a community meeting on levee repairs and floodwall construction in Kenner, La. The Corps plans to build a new, 3.5-mile floodwall 35 feet from the existing floodwall that separates Kenner from the LaBranche Wetlands in St. Charles Parish. However, some residents expressed concern that their houses were being damaged by vibrations from pile drivers used in construction of the floodwall.
