Bankers see disparities on compensation

Regulators worldwide are discussing and implementing rules related to bankers' compensation, creating disparities depending on where a banker works and the employer's location. "Regulators in different countries have approached this issue [of compensation] in different ways," said Peter Hahn, a lecturer at the Cass Business School. "The [Group of 20] guidelines, for example, involve 20 different regulators as well as a European regulator, so it is inevitable that levels of enforcement vary massively."
