Being overweight past age 70 is tied to lower mortality risk

An Australian study found overweight adults over the age of 70 have a 13% lower risk of death than their normal-weight peers over a 10-year period. The researchers found no survival benefit for obese individuals. They also said being sedentary increased the risk of death for men and women.
