Bill that would prohibit sodas in Mass. schools heads to the state Senate

The Massachusetts House passed legislation that would allow for a ban of sodas and sweet and salty snacks from elementary schools and high schools and would encourage the schools to provide more nutritious foods such as whole-grain products. The bill, which will be reviewed by the state Senate, was introduced in a bid to address childhood obesity.
