Study sees benefit in school switch to low-fat milk

A study from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention concludes that students consume fewer calories per school day after schools begin offering low-fat and fat-free milk. The New York City Department of Education's switch from full-fat milk in 2005 saved each milk-drinking student 6,000 calories and 600 fat grams a year, the report says.
