Alaska's North Slope propane can help fight pollution

Driving down energy costs and resolving the problem of air pollution in Alaska's Fairbanks and North Pole areas are two goals that could be helped by developing the state's North Slope propane and bringing it to the market, writes Ross Adkins, a Fairbanks resident. Putting this abundant resource to use will also aid the state's shift to natural gas, he writes. "The process of converting all our energy needs to our abundant natural gas resource should begin now by starting with propane," he writes.
