Chesapeake Energy CEO McClendon to step down on April 1

Chesapeake Energy CEO Aubrey McClendon will leave the company he helped found, effective April 1. The firm's shares spiked 11% after his planned departure was made public. The company said it is conducting an investigation of McClendon's financial matters, including his involvement in Chesapeake's Founder Well Participation Program.
