CRC report makes case against extensive E15 use in vehicles

Extensive use of E15 fuel could severely damage the maintenance monitoring systems and fuel pumps of vehicles, according to a report from the Coordinating Research Council. "Failure of these components could result in breakdowns that leave consumers stranded on busy roads and highways," said Bob Greco, the American Petroleum Institute's downstream director. API is also studying taking its legal battle against the EPA's E15 rule to the Supreme Court, he added.
