Israel to get recycled shipping container bridge

Israel will soon have a bridge designed by Yoav Messer Architects made from shipping containers. The "Econtainer Bridge" will span the Ayalon River to provide a gateway to Tel Aviv's planned Ariel Sharon Park, a 2,000-acre former waste dump to be transformed into a nature reserve. The bridge will feature observation areas and would allow pedestrians to walk "about through and on top of the containers."
