The Scientist magazine blogged about a neuroscience postdoc who started the Twitter hashtag #overlyhonestmethods "for researchers to confess the dark secrets behind their precise protocols. Hilarity ensued as twitter-savvy scientists flocked to the conversation to vent the foibles and frustrations of scientific rigor." We checked in recently and found the conversation is still percolating. Our current favorite: "The results of the study were presented in third person passive voice to maximize the sciencyness of the paper."
