Railroad to invest $2B for infrastructure upgrades in 2013

Norfolk Southern plans to invest $2 billion this year to enhance its rail infrastructure and invest in equipment to help support the company's growth, said NS CEO Wick Moorman. Included in the capital expenditure are $831 million in roadway improvements and an intermodal facility in North Carolina costing about $92 million.
