SCAI supports Congressman Dr. Phil Roe's bill to repeal IPAB


SCAI is endorsing Rep. Phil Roe (R-Tenn.) and Rep. Allyson Schwartz's (D-Pa.) "Protecting Seniors' Access to Medicare Act," which would repeal the Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB). Established under the health reform law, the IPAB would give a panel of 15 unelected and unaccountable individuals – none of them practicing physicians – authority to designate Medicare spending cuts.
