Tricare prescription copayment changes to begin

Changes to Tricare pharmacy copayments will go into effect Feb. 1, as mandated by the 2013 Defense Authorization Act. The law also allows for yearly copay increases reflecting retirees' cost-of-living increases and calls for a pilot program for Medicare-eligible retirees and their families to reduce retail pharmacy-related costs by receiving routine medications by mail or a military pharmacy for at least a year.
