Union representing American Airlines workers agrees to MOU

The Transport Workers Union of America, which represents mechanics and other workers at American Airlines, agreed to a memorandum of understanding if the carrier merges with US Airways. The workers represented by the union would receive a 4.3% raise if a merger occurs. AMR Corp., the parent company of American Airlines, filed for bankruptcy in 2011.
