Unilever and P&G are increasing focus on their corporate social responsibility efforts in their advertisements, this article says. "[W]e're seeing a consumer-driven, internet-enabled evolution in consumer marketing," writes Tim Lindsay, the CEO of D&AD. "[I]f the way [to] increase profit is actually to be a better corporate citizen, then there is at least some chance that all businesses will be encouraged to join in," he writes.
