J.Crew's Drexler on fashion, retail trends

J.Crew will boast "friendlier" prices on some of its pieces this spring, said J.Crew Group Chairman and CEO Mickey Drexler, who bemoaned the dearth of high-quality, middle-priced fashion offerings during a talk at the New School's University Center in Manhattan. He also touched on J.Crew's online sales growth and plans for expansion in the U.K. and Hong Kong. "We're holding off on China and the rest of Europe. The reports on China are very mixed, and we're not ready. We don't want to overexpand too quickly," he said.
