Many U.S. teens are using tanning beds despite risks

Despite a CDC study that linked tanning bed use before age 35 to a 75% increased risk of melanoma, nearly 60% of college students and 17% of teens reported ever using a tanning bed, a survey in the journal JAMA Dermatology found. Among adult respondents, more than 35% admitted tanning bed use.
