Controversy over gay student club rages in Kentucky

When the Gay-Straight Alliance club at Boyd County High School was shut down last fall by the district's superintendent, Bill Capehart, the students enlisted the support of the ACLU, which lobbied for the club's reinstatement. Since then, Capehart has changed his mind several times, alternately condemning and supporting the club.
