Fiber contains many health benefits

Research has shown that fiber helps to keep the colon healthy, control weight, prevent diabetes and lower cholesterol. People can add fiber to their diets by eating vegetables, certain fruits, nonprocessed foods, and certain breads, cereals and rice. However, one expert says people should eat fiber in moderation, since it can cause bloating and gas.
