Researchers say past head trauma could explain social problems

Forgotten traumatic brain injury could explain cases of social problems, including alcoholism, learning disabilities and chronic homelessness, according to researchers. Some schools are trying to identify and provide special assistance for children with learning disabilities or behavior problems who have experienced a traumatic head injury, and some alcohol and addiction programs are working specifically with brain-injured adults.
