Crisis has IMF considering bond issuance

To increase lending to cash-strapped countries, the International Monetary Fund may be preparing to issue its first bond. In addition, the IMF is expected to borrow $100 billion from Japan. Because of the credit crunch, the IMF has become the main source of financing for countries including Iceland, Ukraine, Latvia and Hungary.
