Estimates vary on number of jobs stimulus will produce

The $819 billion stimulus package that passed the House this week could provide millions of jobs, but the exact number is uncertain. The bill could create anywhere from 1.2 million to 3.6 million jobs in the next two years, according to experts. "Despite the fact they have been talking about shovel-ready projects, it takes time," said Alan Auerbach, an economist at the University of California, Berkeley.
