BIM cuts change orders, need for storage space

BIM could cut the number of redesigns and change orders on the $322 million Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago by 70% over a previous project. The design team is using BIMfx's Plans and Specs computer platform to store the construction drawings. "Ten years ago, you used to see 100 3-inch binders in a trailer," said John Goecke, president of BIMfx.
