Samsung's 5.3-inch phone will hit stores Feb. 19

Samsung Electronics and AT&T will begin their experiment of marketing the Galaxy Note smartphone, a handset that carries a 5.3-inch display with many features of a tablet, when the 4G-enabled device reaches stores Feb. 19. The companies have termed the $300 device a hybrid, with its large, high-resolution screen on which consumers will write with an S Pen stylus. Samsung also disclosed that it would release the Android 2.3-powered Galaxy S Advance in global markets, but not the U.S., next month.
