Alliance's Ward details progress on privacy, future plans

Among the issues on the minds of developers are revenue, discoverability, privacy and software patenting, the Application Developers Alliance's senior vice president and co-founder, Jake Ward, says in this interview. On privacy issues, the Alliance in 2012 focused on "helping people understand what was expected of them but then in turn trying to help the federal agencies understand what the reality was," Ward says. This year, he added, the Alliance plans to hold more events focused on the business of apps, and will continue building its DevsBuild.It platform.
