Belk upgrades stores to hit $6 billion sales goal

Belk will invest $140 million to transform up to 15 stores into flagships, remodeling some spaces, enlarging others and infusing them with new premium brands. The retailer, which also plans to open two new flagships next year, aims to grow from $3.78 billion to $6 billion in annual sales in the next five years.
