Flu vaccine is safe for children with egg allergies, study says

Children with a history of severe egg allergy, even anaphylaxis, did not experience an allergic reaction following the administration of trivalent seasonal influenza vaccine, U.S. researchers found. They said a single dose of the vaccine was effective and well-tolerated and a split dose was unnecessary. The findings appear in the Annals of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.
