Struggling Calif. paper bought by local entrepreneur

The Palisadian-Post of Pacific Palisades, Calif., has been acquired by a local real-estate entrepreneur who's determined to turn the money-losing paper around. "Pacific Palisades is my favorite place on Earth, and the Palisadian-Post is my favorite newspaper. I have a moral obligation to make sure this newspaper arrives every Thursday for as long as I live," said the new owner, Alan Smolinisky, who says he has a decided preference for print news.
