Use of tablet computers is expected to rise in India's schools

More schools in India are expected to begin using tablet computers in the classroom with the release of more high-quality, affordable devices. The government reportedly is supportive of the use of tablets for learning, and the technology is seen as particularly beneficial in rural parts of the country. However, it is not expected that rural areas will be able to take full advantage in the next several years because of insufficient broadband access and power supplies.
