User trust in social networks is fading, Ponemon list indicates

Many users feel less secure about their online privacy because of the proliferation of social networks, mobile devices and geotracking software, a Ponemon Institute survey indicates. The institute's annual list of the 20 most-trusted companies is led by American Express, Hewlett-Packard, Amazon and IBM. AOL, Apple, Best Buy, Dell, Facebook, Google and Yahoo all dropped off the list.
