IAB offers best practices to fight ad fraud

The IAB has finalized its online ad anti-fraud guidelines following complaints of rising, bot-driven ad fraud online. It suggests that ad buyers use targeted, specific campaigns and avoid low-ball prices for digital campaigns because they tend to attract fraudsters. "Our new best practices lay the groundwork for how we can fight back against online traffic fraud with specific procedures designed to curtail this criminal activity and limit its impact," said IAB's vice president of advertising technology, Steve Sullivan.
