More clicks drive Google ad revenue up 17% to $14.1 billion

Google's revenue, net income and core advertising revenue each grew 17% in the fourth quarter, compared to the prior year. Ad revenue growth was driven by a 31% increase in clicks on its search ads, though Google's payment per click declined an average of 11%. Google's product-image ads in searches have "great momentum," said Nikesh Arora, Google's chief business officer.
