Oracle chief discusses cloud efforts, database security

CEO Larry Ellison says Oracle's databases haven't been breached in decades and are safe from government snooping. He said he's focused on competing against what he considers newer cloud providers, not SAP and IBM. "Our competitors are this whole new generation of cloud companies. We're focused on the infrastructure companies like Amazon and the SaaS companies like Salesforce," he said.
