Republican lawmakers press EPA on alleged ties with green groups

Reps. Fred Upton, R-Mich., and Tim Murphy, R-Pa., urged Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Gina McCarthy in a letter to clarify a report that the agency has discussed the Sierra Club's opposition to the Keystone XL pipeline. The lawmakers said they "want to be sure those officials do not inappropriately share non-public planning and deliberative documents in a manner that undermines trust in the agency's process."
