Senate panel begins debate on removing U.S. oil export ban

The Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee on Thursday started the long-awaited debate on lifting the U.S.' ban on crude oil exports. Committee Chairman Ron Wyden, D-Ore., expects the matter will be subject to a long debate. "It's fair to say this conversation is not going to be resolved any time in the next few weeks," said Wyden.
