Planned 7 WTC standards incorporate new safety measures

To overcome the memory associated with the day the original building burned and collapsed on Sept. 11, 2001, developer Silverstein Properties is highlighting safety. Plans call for fire stairs to be 66 inches wide -- instead of 55 inches -- and other measures that would exceed possible future building code standards.
