Connecticut launches EMR initiative

State lawmakers have joined a coalition of health care professionals in an initiative to replace paper-based medical records with an electronic network to allow better sharing and storage of the records. The initiative, called eHealth Connecticut, would help reduce prescription errors, experts say, and they hope to have it up and running within the next two years.
