Japanese digital-camera shipments likely to lose speed

Demand for digital cameras is likely to slow in the next few years, as Japanese camera makers plan to slow their shipment growth this year to 7.5% from last year. Canon, Sony and other digital-camera makers are expected to ship 84.9 million units in 2007, compared with 79.0 million units last year, an industry association said.
